About the LCG Workbook

This is the workbook of the LHC Computing Grid (LCG) project. It's purpose is to:

• give you a hands-on tour of the LCG application area
• get you started as a user or contributor
• help you find the documentation and information you need

This is a live document in which more contet will appear on a regular basis.

The LCG application area workbook follows in the tradition of the BaBar Offline Workbook and the SLD Offline Workbook in offering a structured course covering the projects within the LCG Application Area. After completing the workbook sections on a particular project, you will be familiar with the project, will know how to use its products and where to get help and further information if needed. For users of the LCG Application Area products, the workbook is intended to be the primary portal to documentation and all other information needed to use a particular product.
