Excerpt from the Minutes of the SC2 meeting of July 2002
Motion of ANAPHE
It is the view of the SC2 that the future of the ANAPHE project should
be considered within the context of LCG work. We feel that this is the
best way to ensure that the experience and expertise of the ANAPHE
team benefits the LHC experiments. Accordingly, we suggest that the
ANAPHE team be asked to bring their present round of work to an
orderly conclusion (ensuring documentation is up-to-date etc.), but
that the team should not launch new developments pending the
involvement of the present ANAPHE personnel in LCG project(s) under
the direction of the area coordinator (T.Wenaus)
The SC2 agrees that the LCG procedures, with the roles of RTAG, SC2
and PEB, should be used for the work of the people who are currently
involved in the ANAPHE project. Manuel Delfino pointed out that ANAPHE
is used by non-LHC experiments (HARP and COMPASS), so the response
must take this into account.
The motion was discussed and endorsed by all members present. The
chair will forward the motion to the IT division management and the
PEB project leader and request a response to the SC2.
