| October 11, 2002 - Blueprint RTAG concluded! |
At the SC2 meeting on Oct 11, 2002 the final report of the LCG architecture blueprint RTAG was presented. The report was well received, the SC2 accepted it, and the RTAG is concluded [huge sigh of relief from the RTAG members].
From the ATLAS notes on the meeting (not yet the definitive SC2 statement, which should emerge soon):
RTAG8: it was noted that this RTAG is rather different (broader)
in scope than most of the other application RTAGs, and
that it makes several recommendations and proposals.
The basic approach was endorsed, in particular the
proposed relationship between LCG software and ROOT.
T. Wenaus was encouraged to proceed to prepare a work-plan
for the 'Core Technical Services' and for some of
the 'Physics Analysis' tools. The proposal to launch
a 'Physics Analysis' RTAG was endorsed with a timescale
of December for the definition of mandate and membership,
and of January-February for the actual RTAG work.
